AE-chan’s Show & Tell: July 3 – July 10

Help us help you! Interact with our posts for a chance to win up to $15 CAD to spend on a participating seller, for up to 2 winners.

How to Play

  • Follow the instructions via our giveaway link between July 3rd – 10th, PST
    • 1 task = 1 entry. This means you can earn a total of 3 entries if you enter on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
  • 2 winners if 40+ participants, 1 winner if < 40 participants
  • Winners are drawn randomly via Socialman’s built-in tool
  • Winners will be contacted via email (whitelist contest@animeevolution.com)

Contest & Prize Rules

  • One account per platform per person.
    • You may enter on all of Anime Evolution’s social media platforms, but may not enter multiple accounts on each platform.
  • No side, giveaway/contest/reblog, and spam accounts (or similar)
  • Must have a valid Paypal (or, if Canadian, bank account) in order to receive prizes.
  • This promotion is only open to residents of currently deliverable countries of our participating sellers’ shops.
  • Winners can choose to receive their prize one of two ways:
    1. Reimbursement 
      • Make a purchase from the featured sellers and provide proof of purchase to have $15 CAD sent back to you1
    2. Direct purchase
      •  Anime Evolution directly purchases from a participating seller according to the winner’s instructions.² Purchases through this method must be $15 or below, including shipping. Should the order total be less than $15 CAD, Anime Evolution will unfortunately not provide monetary supplement.
        • For example, if your order adds to $12 CAD, Anime Evolution will not send $3 CAD to the winner in order to fill the $15 CAD. 
  • Purchases made as a part of this promotion’s prize cannot be used towards the Stampathon.

How to Play

  • Fill out your information here
  • Once we receive your submission, we’ll send you your entry numbers within 2-10 days (whitelist contest@animeevolution.com)
  • 3 winners if 60+ participants, 2 winners if 30+ participants, 1 winner if < 30 participants
  • Purchases must be made and submitted between July 10th 12:00 pm PST – July 31st 11:59 pm PST
  • Money spent on tax & shipping cannot be put towards stamp entries
  • Winners will be randomly drawn using a random number generator

Contest & Prize Rules

  • Must have a valid Paypal (or, if Canadian, bank account) in order to receive prizes.
  • Participation is open to all accepted customers of participating sellers
  • Only purchases made within the duration of the contest period qualify for entries.
  • The maximum amount a winner may receive is $40 CAD. Should a winning participant’s purchases for the Stampathon exceed $40 CAD, they will still receive only the prize amount of $40 CAD.
  • In the event of a winning participant’s purchases totaling less than the allotted prize amount, the winner will be given the option to make an additional purchase, up to the missing amount. Should the participant reject this option, the remainder of the prize is considered unclaimed, and will be forfeited.
    • e.g.  A winning participant’s purchase amount is $25. On top of receiving $25 CAD to cover their purchases, they may then ask Anime Evolution to make a purchase from a listed artist/vendor up to $15 (including shipping) to add up to the allotted $40 CAD. Similarly, they may choose to make the $15 purchase themselves and have AE reimburse it. Should they decide against this option, this means they decide to receive only the $25 CAD. 
  • Purchases made as a part of “Show & Tell” prizes cannot be used towards the “Stampathon”.

  • Anime Evolution (“AE”), the Vancouver Anime Convention Society (the “VACS”), and its representatives reserve the right to re-draw winners in the event that a name drawn is found to be invalid, unjustified, or unfair. This includes, but is not exclusive to, examples such as using multiple accounts, participating from a non-deliverable country, etc.
  • AE, the VACS, and its representatives (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “the organization”) reserve the right to check participating accounts to ensure validity of entries.
  • The organization reserves the right to confirm the validity of winners’ purchases by communicating and cross-checking with the artists and vendors involved in the transactions.
  • By participating in the event, you are giving permission to AE and/or the VACS and its representatives to publish your name and/or social media handles according to the information provided by the participant, upon submission of your entry(s). This information will only be published if your name is drawn as a winner, for the sake of publicizing the event and its winners.
  • The organization maintains open communication with its featured sellers to ensure their health and safety. Any participant found to be dishonest (such as making a purchase and immediately refunding in order to obtain their prize), or harassing staff and featured sellers, will be banned from participating in future promotions.
  • Prizes are to be disbursed via digital transaction; participants at no point will be offered physical cash
  • At no point will the organization ever request credit information, private Paypal/bank details, or payment from the participant.
  • Prize amounts are set in CAD. Should the player require their prize amount in a different currency, the stated amount ($15 CAD) will be transferred and converted according to the conversion rate and discretion of the money transfer service used (e.g. Paypal, e-transfer, etc.)
  • Prize distribution will not cover any transaction fees that may occur.
    • e.g. If there is a $1 fee to send $15 CAD, we will not send an additional amount to cover the fee; the prize recipient will receive the difference as subtracted by the money transfer service.

  • The organization reserves the right to adjust a participant’s amount of entries should any purchases be found exceeding the number of qualifying contest criteria indicated by the participant. Entry amount may also be adjusted should any purchases be found not objectively meeting the provided criteria of the contest. Should this happen, the participant will be notified.
  • The organization reserves the right to confirm the validity of winners’ purchases by communicating and cross-checking with the artists and vendors involved in the transactions.
  • Any entries found breaking the guidelines will be discarded. This includes, but is not exclusive to, using purchases from artists and vendors NOT featured on the Anime Evolution website and social media, falsified purchases (such as ones made and immediately refunded), etc. Should this happen, the participant will be notified.
  • By participating in the event, you agree to share the required transaction information with the organization in order for us to verify qualifying purchases. At no point will the organization ever request credit information, private Paypal/bank details, or payment from the participant. Order information provided by the participant is kept confidential by the organization, and will only be communicated with the stores from which the purchases are made from in order to confirm validity. 
  • By participating in the event, you are giving permission to AE and/or the VACS and its representatives to publish your name and/or social media handles according to the information provided by the participant, upon submission of your entry(s). This information will only be published if your name is drawn as a winner, for the sake of publicizing the event and its winners.
